About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned hospitality professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager/Duty Manager. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team and ensuring that all services are delivered with the utmost efficiency and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach the Front Office team to ensure that all services are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Assist the Front Office Manager in conducting departmental training sessions and implementing new procedures.
  • Hold daily department briefings to ensure that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and any changes to procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of action plans to reduce guest dissatisfaction and improve overall service quality.
  • Coordinate security and emergency evacuation procedures and deal with any issues that may arise.
  • Be responsible for Workplace Health and Safety reporting, documentation, and communication of all accidents within the hotel.
  • Actively promote and encourage upselling within the Front Office team.
  • Empower the Front Office team to take ownership of guest satisfaction and make decisions to ensure that guests have an exceptional experience.
  • Continuously strive to improve departmental operations and increase the standards of service provided to all external and internal guests.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Front Office Team Leader/Supervisor is essential.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, and numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Natural ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Capacity to interact professionally with customers, team members, and management.
  • Proficiency in the use of hotel systems, especially OPERA, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or willingness to obtain one.
  • NSW Full Driver's Licence.
