Duty Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at Mingara Recreation Club. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our club, ensuring a positive customer experience, and providing leadership and direction to our staff.
Key Responsibilities- Problem-solving and implementing solutions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Providing leadership, direction, and support to staff, including coaching and performance management
- Building and fostering effective working relationships across multiple venues
- Monitoring and responding to service levels and assisting where necessary
- Implementing and championing change as part of a progressive and evolving organization
- Conflict management and managing complex operational issues
- Providing a safe environment for our team and community
We are looking for someone who is a people person, with a knack for building relationships, investing in their team, and making people feel welcome. You should have:
- At least 12 months of experience managing a team of people with varying levels of experience
- Confidence to work independently and think on your feet to resolve issues and manage tricky situations
- Exceptional experience in communicating with customers and team members, and the ability to have difficult conversations
- Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching and motivating a team of employees
- General knowledge and experience of club operations and guiding legislation
- A high standard of presentation and exceptional communication skills, including report writing and other formal documentation
- A high degree of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
- Flexibility and availability across the operating hours of the club
- Current RSA and RCG certificates
