Corporate Training Facilitators for Election Workforce

We have an exciting opportunity for External Facilitators to join our team in delivering training sessions to the Temporary Election Workforce (TEW) polling officials in preparation for federal elections or referendums.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering standardized national training packages, assessing participant comprehension, and collaborating with a Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) to address technical questions.

This role is ideal for teachers, public speakers, trainers, or anyone who is confident in explaining and communicating with others. You will work closely with our team to ensure consistent delivery of key messages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete online and virtual training in preparation for election events.
  • Deliver in-person training sessions for polling officials per national standards.
  • Coordinate with our client staff for training schedules and ongoing session needs.
  • Collect, transport, and set up training materials as required.
  • Work closely with the Training SME to ensure consistent delivery of key messages.
  • Monitor session effectiveness, track participant understanding, and report any issues.
  • Accurately document training records and resolve incidents in line with procedures.
Organisational Accountabilities:
  • Adhere to APS Values, Code of Conduct, and Ballot Paper Principles.
  • Follow our client's policies, avoid conflicts of interest, and remain apolitical.
  • Support and comply with our client's health and safety frameworks.
  • Complete mandatory role-specific learning and development.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in facilitation with strong adaptability to diverse topics.
  • Ability to work under pressure with flexibility, including weekends.
  • Strong communication skills to engage a diverse audience.
  • High integrity and ability to represent our client professionally.
  • Australian citizenship, age 18+, with a valid driver's license.
  • Access to a mobile phone, email, a personal vehicle, and a laptop with HDMI connectivity.
  • Must pass a character clearance, including a police check.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $60-$80 AUD per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
