The Opportunity

As part of our continued growth and unwavering commitment to safety, we are seeking a High Voltage Operating Coordinator (HVOC) to support our High Voltage Operating Authority (HVOA) across multiple projects. In this role, you will assist in coordinating and facilitating high-voltage electrical operations, working closely with project teams and HV electricians to ensure all work is planned, communicated, and executed safely. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing switching programs, maintaining documentation, performing switching operations, issuing access permits and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and standards. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and safety of our high-voltage systems, while supporting the HVOA in the effective oversight of HV operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate high-voltage electrical operations across multiple projects
• Prepare and review switching programs and permits
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with procedures and standards
• Communicate effectively with project teams and HV electricians
• Support the High Voltage Operating Authority (HVOA) in oversight of HV operations

Desired Skills and Experience

• Nationally accredited High Voltage Switching Operator certificate
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong decision making skills with the ability to make critical judgments regarding high-voltage operations and clearly justify actions
• Familiarity with Electrical Safety Acts/Rules and Regulations applicable to Australian States. Strong knowledge of HV substation operations and maintenance
• Experience in preparing HV Switching programs, permits and protocols
