Electrical Engineering Leader

As an Electrical Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of onshore renewable power plants, including design, construction, and operation. This role involves leading the electrical engineering side of projects from development to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development of technical design tender reports for high voltage systems
  • Design and delivery of high voltage substation primary equipment, feasibility studies, reports, programs, and cost estimates
  • Review of high voltage plant aspects, including layouts, earthing design, mechanical interlocking, busbar calculations, and technical specifications
  • Chairing design review and hazard review meetings, and reviewing high voltage plant design packages

This is a leadership role that requires extensive experience in substation design and a strong understanding of transmission and distribution systems, including equipment sizing and protective systems.

Requirements
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience as a design engineer/manager in consultancy, TNSP in EHV systems, or high voltage systems
  • Knowledge of medium voltage/high voltage equipment, including switchgear, transformers, protections, and lines
  • Extensive field experience in medium voltage/high voltage deployment and installation practices
  • Familiarity with commissioning tests for renewable installations
