Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Cared For social work teams in Sefton. As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking work that supports the well-being and safety of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to achieve good outcomes for children and young people
  • Provide guidance and support to families and carers to help them understand the needs of the child or young person
  • Contribute to the development of service plans and policies that promote the well-being and safety of children and young people

Requirements:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to make informed decisions based on available information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team/multi-agency set-ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs
  • Competent IT skills and ability to navigate electronic file/recording systems
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files
