Are you a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills? Do you have experience in scheduling and dispatching field service technicians?

Job Description
  • Coordinate the efficient scheduling and dispatching of field service technicians to customer locations based on geographic location, skills, and urgency of service requests.
  • Monitor real-time field activities and adjust schedules as necessary to meet customer needs and ensure timely completion of service jobs.
  • Communicate job details, including location, customer contact information, and service requirements, to field technicians accurately and promptly.
  • Optimise routes and schedules to minimise travel time and maximise efficiency, reducing operational costs where possible.
  • Handle customer enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner, working towards swift resolution.
  • Collaborate with field technicians and other relevant departments to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to service and breakdown jobs.
  • Coordinate quoted additional repair jobs & third-party suppliers for breakdown jobs.
  • Monitor service work in progress.
  • Monitor technician's work hours on a daily basis.
  • Generate regular reports on service metrics, including response times, completion rates, job totals etc and present findings to field service manager.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in the material handling industry or industrial services industry also advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong computer literacy including proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel etc.).
  • Experience using an ERP system (M3, SAP etc) advantageous.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise work.
  • Superior communication, interpersonal & time management skills.
  • Strong telephone skills and experience responding to high volume of queries over phone and/or email.
  • Proven ability to effectively resolve problems in a timely manner.
