Our business is expanding and we are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Field Service Coordinator. This exciting opportunity will see you coordinating and optimizing the scheduling and dispatching of field service technicians to customer sites.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to multitask and problem solve, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for efficiently scheduling and dispatching field service technicians, monitoring real-time field activities and adjusting schedules as necessary, communicating job details to field technicians accurately and promptly, optimising routes and schedules to minimize travel time and maximize efficiency, handling customer enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner, working towards swift resolution, collaborating with field technicians and other relevant departments to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently, maintaining accurate records relating to service and breakdown jobs, coordinating quoted additional repair jobs and third-party suppliers for breakdown jobs, monitoring service work in progress, monitoring technician's work hours on a daily basis, generating regular reports on service metrics including response times, completion rates, job totals etc and presenting findings to the field service manager.

This role requires effective coordination with various departments to ensure timely and efficient resolution of customer requirements. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records and generate regular reports on service metrics.

  • Field Service Coordination experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in the Material Handling Industry or Industrial Services Industry also advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong computer literacy including proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using an ERP system advantageous.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise work.
  • Superior communication, interpersonal & time management skills.
  • Strong telephone skills and experience responding to a high volume of queries over the phone and/or email.
  • Proven ability to effectively resolve problems in a timely manner.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Efficiently schedule and dispatch field service technicians to customer locations based on geographic location, skills, and urgency of service requests.
  • Monitor real-time field activities and adjust schedules as necessary to meet customer needs and ensure timely completion of service jobs.
  • Communicate job details, including location, customer contact information, and service requirements, to field technicians accurately and promptly.
  • Optimise routes and schedules to minimise travel time and maximise efficiency, reducing operational costs where possible.
  • Handle customer enquiries in a professional and empathetic manner, working towards swift resolution.
  • Collaborate with field technicians and other relevant departments to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to service and breakdown jobs.
  • Coordinate quoted Additional Repair job & third-party suppliers for breakdown jobs.
  • Monitor service Work In Progress.
  • Monitor technician's work hours on a daily basis.
  • Generate regular reports on service metrics, including response times, completion rates, job totals etc and present findings to the Field Service Manager.
About You
