About the Role
  • Assess and manage patients across acute and urgent care emergency settings.
  • Provide medical assistance to residential aged care as required.
  • Apply evidence-based clinical practice in planning and delivering treatment options.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, teaching, and safe patient care practices.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, handovers, and discharge summaries are maintained.
  • Pursue on-call requirements, prioritizing urgent cases and collaborating with nursing staff as needed.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent), recognized by relevant authorities.
  • General registration with a governing medical council.
  • Successful completion of Part 1 and Part 2 Exams for medical professionals.
  • At least 5 years of experience in general acute and/or emergency medicine, preferably in rural or regional settings.
  • Fellowship with a reputable medical association, such as ACEM, RACGP, or RACP.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, prioritizing patient needs and safety.
