Job Role

Casual Diploma Qualified Early Years Educators play a vital role in providing responsive high-quality care and education for children in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, philosophies, regulations, and frameworks.

Under the guidance of the Education and Care Leader or Kindergarten Teacher, they contribute to the planning, implementing, and evaluating children's learning. They provide leadership and guidance to Early Years Educators, ensuring a supportive team environment that is experienced, compassionate, and collaborative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Children: Ensure the safety of every child by supervising their activities at all times.
  • Build relationships: Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with children, families, and other team members.
  • Work Together: Collaborate with leaders, coworkers, families, children, and the community.
  • Program Implementation: Assist in the implementation of high-quality children's programs that respond to individual strengths and interests of children, families, and staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
  • Clearances: Current Employee Working with Children check.
  • First Aid Certification: Level 2 First Aid, including Asthma & Anaphylaxis management and CPR.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards and current Regulations.
