Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Guest Service Officer to join our team at Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing our guests with an engaging check-in and check-out experience, exceeding their expectations and creating lasting memories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies.
• Provide our guests with what they want at any time, including directions, wake-up calls, future reservations, restaurant reservations, and other guest requests.
• Handle guest issues/complaints with courtesy, empathy, and sincerity.
• Engage with guests one last time on departure, offering a friendly farewell and invitation back for future stays.
• Assist guests with any needs, such as calling a taxi or providing driving directions.
• Utilize Opera and other property management systems efficiently.
• Handle guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow-up.
• Ensure high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
Requirements:
• Previous customer service experience.
• Previous Front Office experience in a hotel.
• Experience using Opera would set you apart from the rest.
• Passionate about creating memorable guest experiences.
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to provide and improve customer service with both internal and external customers.
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work a flexible 7-day rotating roster.

Qualifications:
Responsible to welcome all guests, ensuring they have an exceptional staying experience; creating lasting memories and building relationships. You will bring our purpose to life, by using your personal flair and style when interacting with our guests. Ideally you have a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management. Minimum 2 years work experience in hotel operations. Good customer service, communications, and interpersonal skills are a must.
