About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager or Project Manager to lead our team in managing institutional commercial projects with budgets ranging from $2-$30M. The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing projects within this scope and have a proven track record of success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee the wider Victorian team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to strict quality standards and best practices.
- Cost Reporting: Provide accurate and timely cost reports to stakeholders.
- Liaison and Coordination: Work closely with Project Managers and Contracts Administrators to meet budget and time constraints.
- OH&S Implementation: Implement and maintain Occupational Health and Safety policies.
- Plan Adherence: Ensure seamless execution of plans and specifications.
- Progression Planning: Develop and implement long-term and short-term progression plans for team members.
Requirements:
- A stable career history within the construction industry.
- Strong background in construction, contracts administration, project engineering, or project management with a reputable mid-tier construction company.
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial projects, ideally in Defence, Health, or Education sectors.
- The ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Well-organized, strong work ethic, enthusiastic, motivated, honest, and high level of integrity.
- Certificate IV in Construction or equivalent qualification.
