Competition Law Specialist

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, leading and supervising teams on investigations and competition analysis. You will be responsible for identifying and analysing relevant information to draw evidence-based conclusions on competition issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of competition law, and experience in managing complex investigations. They will also possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to foster successful internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Investigations: Develop and implement plans for the conduct of investigations and projects, identifying suitable resolutions for identified actions, changing market behaviours, activities, and issues.
  • Analyse Data: Conduct objective, systematic analysis to draw accurate conclusions, critically assess and support evidence-based decision making.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Assist with leading and guiding the professional development of junior team members, contributing to the leadership of the branch.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: A degree in economics, law, or similar fields is required.
  • Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience leading and managing investigations into complex matters and/or competition law issues.
  • Skillset: Strong written drafting skills, demonstrated experience in ensuring high-quality documentation, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
