
Competition and Antitrust Law Specialist

As a seasoned professional with an exceptional understanding of Australian competition and consumer law, you will embark on 3-6 month opportunities with a leading firm. Ideal candidates will possess:
- a deep comprehension of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth); and
- experience assisting with merger clearances, joint ventures, and regulatory investigations.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold the right to work and reside in Australia
- Be qualified to practice in Australia and hold an unrestricted practicing certificate or be able to obtain the same
- Have a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience within a firm akin to A&O Shearman and/or ranked top tier in your area of expertise
- Be willing to engage with Peerpoint as a casual employee or via an Independent Legal Practice
- Exhibit strong technical knowledge and recent Australian experience
- Display a self-starting attitude with a commitment to building a career as a consultant and drive to achieve at a high level while working as a consultant
- Be adept at leading or working within complex multi-functional, multi-national project environments, or open to working in the same
- Posess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally
- Be client service-focused, with exemplary client service ethic and commitment
- Display strong commercial/business acumen
- Be resilient, adaptable, autonomous, and highly credible
- Exhibit advanced organisational skills and diplomacy
