Role Summary

The Senior HSEQ Advisor will play a key role in developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a proactive safety culture throughout our operations in Australia.

This newly created role will involve collaborating with our team to define business systems requirements and architecture, developing and implementing these systems, and overseeing their maintenance. Additionally, the Senior HSEQ Advisor will assist the organisation in achieving accreditation under new standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and support project leaders and senior management in understanding and implementing HSEQ requirements comprehensively.
  • Manage and enhance in-house HSEQ systems.
  • Assist in the implementation and oversight of the Global HSE Management System (GHSEMS) and BlueBook standards.
  • Conduct regular HSE audits for projects and office environments, supporting the business to address findings and manage corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure ongoing accreditation to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the company's values, promoting best practices in HSE.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Capabilities
  • Demonstratable experience in identifying business HSEQ system needs and architecture.
  • Experience developing and implementing HSEQ systems.
  • Understanding of office HSEQ requirements.
  • Applied knowledge of QHSE Management Systems and quality tools.
  • A consultative approach and ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ideally some construction experience and an understanding of construction processes.
