Job Title

A highly skilled Senior Network Engineer is required to provide expert technical services in relation to implementing, managing, operating and supporting high performance technology infrastructure development, design and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in the implementation of project work packages
  • Provisioning of new and existing switching infrastructure within data centers
  • Remediate the risk of "end of life" infrastructure and manage the capacity of existing switching infrastructure with data centers
  • Provide detailed design and technical review of network changes and troubleshoot any network related issues
  • Implementation of network changes in relation to project defined work packages
  • Drafting and coordination of change implementation plans related to network changes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge and skills in switching and routing - Cisco infrastructure in particular
  • Expert level working knowledge of VXLAN, EVPN, VPC, routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF and the Cisco deployment toolset
  • Good understanding of technical DevOps models, scripting languages such as Python and Ansible and the ability to program and use these in relation to APIs
  • Good understanding of automation platforms and orchestration tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and resolve in timely manner using tools such as Wireshark and packet traces and debug analysis
  • Ability to work with project managers to scope and plan technical work deliverables and timeframes involved
