**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a skilled Regional Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the delivery of the Metropolitan Land Acquisition Program. As the direct point of contact, you will provide expert advice and assessment services for land parcels in the program most affected by a Public Acquisition Overlay (PAO). You will also develop acquisition strategies for parklands parcels proposed to be managed by Parks Victoria.

In this role, you will coordinate with Regional staff within PV and DEECA, as well as other associated agencies, to ensure timely and effective delivery of the program across Melbourne and Southern Regions.

You will have a direct report, a Land Use and Statutory Planning (LUSP) Officer, who will assist in assessing and prioritizing land parcels. Your responsibilities will include guiding and supporting your team member's tasks and professional development.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Planning, Natural Resource Management, or Environmental Science, or equivalent experience in a similar field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in provision of technical advice and support, particularly in land use and statutory planning matters.
  • Familiarity with land use and statutory planning procedural requirements and legislation, especially relating to Crown Land and Public Acquisition Overlay processes (PAO).
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
