About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Intellectual Property Strategist to join our team at Boeing Australia. As a key member of our Intellectual Property team, you will play a critical role in supporting our E7 Wedgetail Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide core Intellectual Property management activities for Boeing's E7 Wedgetail Program in compliance with customer-side and supply-side contractual requirements.
  • Support various IP contracted deliverables, such as IP schedules or related documentation.
  • Act as the central point of contact for IP rights inquiries and protection advice for the E7 Wedgetail Program.
  • Understand enterprise-level IP policy and procedure and enable subsidiary compliance, including supporting the development and/or revision of local IP policy and procedure.
  • Develop and conduct general and Program-specific IP Training to strengthen IP awareness.
Requirements
  • Formal qualifications in Law or related discipline (Business Management, Accounting or similar) is essential.
  • Formal qualifications in Engineering or Science, desirable but not essential.
  • At least 8 years' experience in legal, Intellectual Property (IP) management and/or contract management roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of IP rights and the legislated requirements and processes for protection.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful candidate must have a global mindset and be willing to participate in international-level strategy and meetings.
  • Knowledge of the Australian Standard Defence Contracting Suite of Templates.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Experience with IP Capture and invention disclosure harvesting.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance to meet defence requirements.
