Facilities Operations Centre Lead

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Centre Lead to oversee the 24X7 monitoring of our data centre's physical infrastructure. This role will serve as a facilitator for Large Scale Events and Critical Site Events, ensuring optimal customer experience through consistency, reliability, and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data centre IT infrastructure and facilities infrastructure, with experience working in large-scale data centres. They will be responsible for providing assistance and support to the onsite team, ensuring overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels.

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a team to operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing the team and aligning the Facilities Operations Centre with larger business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor data centre facilities infrastructure platform
  • Serve as Point of Contact for internal and external teams
  • Develop communication and escalation protocols to improve team performance
  • Contribute to outage post mortem analysis
  • Ensure records are updated in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and communicate during emergency recovery efforts
  • Develop tools to enhance team performance
Requirements
  • 2+ years of Electrical or Mechanical Experience
  • 1+ year of experience working with Building and/or Electrical Platform Management Systems
  • 2+ Years' Experience in Data Centre Engineering/Operations
  • 3+ years' experience working in a large-scale data centre and 3+ years' experience in a NOC (Network Operations Centre) or similar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access)
