Job Opportunity:

A Data Centre Technician is a skilled professional responsible for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of data centre infrastructure. They possess a strong background in Linux and experience working in complex data centre environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues with data centre systems, escalating problems to resolver groups as needed
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation on supported technologies
  • Analyse performance trends and manage server/network capacity to ensure optimal operation
  • Implement solutions to enhance or troubleshoot systems, leveraging technical expertise to drive results

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of Linux fundamentals and extensive experience working in data centre environments
  • Solid knowledge of data centre ecosystems, including cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling
  • 2-4 years of related experience in medium to large distributed computing environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5 years of experience in medium to large distributed computing environments
