Job Title: Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

About the Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the diverse dietary needs of children in care.

The role requires compliance with food safety regulations and a strong understanding of children's health and nutrition standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Meal Planning and Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, inclusive meals in accordance with food safety legislation and childcare nutritional guidelines.
  • Maintaining Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a hygienic and safe kitchen environment, adhering to relevant food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Catering to Dietary Needs: Cater to individual dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences.
  • Collaborating with Staff: Collaborate with childcare staff to support the health and wellbeing of children.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certification: Certificate II/III in Food Services or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge Base: Knowledge of National Quality Standards and Food Safety legislation.
  • Experience: Experience preparing child-friendly menus in a care or institutional setting.
