Job Title: Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
About the PositionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the diverse dietary needs of children in care.
The role requires compliance with food safety regulations and a strong understanding of children's health and nutrition standards.
Main Responsibilities- Meal Planning and Preparation: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, inclusive meals in accordance with food safety legislation and childcare nutritional guidelines.
- Maintaining Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a hygienic and safe kitchen environment, adhering to relevant food safety and hygiene practices.
- Catering to Dietary Needs: Cater to individual dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances, and cultural preferences.
- Collaborating with Staff: Collaborate with childcare staff to support the health and wellbeing of children.
- Ensuring Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards and procedures.
- Certification: Certificate II/III in Food Services or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge Base: Knowledge of National Quality Standards and Food Safety legislation.
- Experience: Experience preparing child-friendly menus in a care or institutional setting.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility: Flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Note: This position requires a current National Police Clearance (no adverse findings) and DHS Working With Children Clearance.
