Business Development Associate

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Associate to join their team in Melbourne. As a key member of the Asset Management team, you will play a critical role in supporting Institutional Sales, Key Accounts, and the broader execution of the distribution strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional support to clients and prospects by fielding, responding, and accommodating day-to-day requests.
- Collaborate with the team to develop strategies and objectives for identified client groups.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication, networking, and events.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and develop new relationships.
- Organize and attend client events and entertainment activities to foster strong relationships.
- Support the regional team and broader team in achieving individual and team objectives and KPIs, specifically around flows, revenue, and client activity.
- Assist the key accounts team in executing national campaigns.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses, objectives, goals, and market challenges within specific regions and ensure consistent information flow and support from the team.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a Commerce field.
- 2+ years of industry experience, preferably in funds management or a related field.
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of the funds management industry and products or a willingness to learn.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions and act quickly in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience using specialized financial software, such as Bloomberg or Morningstar Direct, is an advantage.
- Experience developing Excel models and using other Office applications.
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
