About the Position

We are looking for a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Rheumatology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the teaching and research in the Specialty of Rheumatology, Sydney Medical School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of a clinical, translational or basic science research program relevant to Rheumatology.
  • Develop, implement and promote clinical/education programs for MD students relating to Rheumatology.
  • Provide clinical care as part of the healthcare team in the Specialty of Rheumatology.
  • Promote a culture that is collaborative, team-oriented and respectful of all staff.
About You
  • You must have a PhD in a field relevant to Rheumatology.
  • You must be registered as a medical practitioner in NSW with recognition by AHPRA as a Specialist Rheumatologist and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, or equivalent.
  • You must have an emerging national/international reputation and research track record, including publications in peer-reviewed international journals and success in obtaining research funding and supervision of research students.
  • You must have experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives within Rheumatology.
  • You must have a network of relationships with key academic and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders that can be leveraged to enhance the standing of the Specialty, Hospital/School/Faculty and University.
