Senior Rheumatology Expert

Our institution is seeking a renowned Senior Rheumatology Expert to lead research and teaching in this dynamic field. This opportunity enables an early- or mid-career academic to develop their expertise and contribute to the growth of rheumatology as a specialty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a clinical, translational, or basic science research program relevant to rheumatology.
  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing clinical/education programs for medical students relating to rheumatology.
  • Contribute to rheumatology department activities, such as quality and safety and service improvement.
About You
  • Hold a PhD in a field relevant to rheumatology.
  • Be registered as a medical practitioner in your state with recognition by the Medical Board as a Specialist Rheumatologist and Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians, or equivalent.
  • Have an emerging national/international reputation and research track record, including publications in peer-reviewed international journals and success in obtaining research funding and supervision of research students.
  • Have experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives within rheumatology.
  • Have a network of relationships with key academic and professional institutions, partners, and stakeholders that can be leveraged to enhance the standing of the Specialty, Hospital/School/Faculty, and Institution.

  • Obtain a Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act.
