About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to lead our portfolio of sites in Wagga Wagga. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing effective management of quality maintenance services and property support to a range of key stakeholders and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of sites, ensuring that maintenance services are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic asset management plans to optimize property performance.
  • Collaborate with the Capitals Works Manager and Operations & Facilities Manager to manage reactive and preventative maintenance, minor capital works, and budgeting processes.
  • Lead a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and contractors.
  • Manage property-related contracts and contractors, ensuring compliance with BaptistCare's policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience in budgeting processes and maintaining operational budgets.
  • Experience managing property-related contracts and contractors.
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Driver's license and travel, including sites outside the Wagga Wagga area if required.

About You

  • Building, Trade, Facilities Management, Degree, Diploma or Certificate.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in managing preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in managing maintenance staff.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in hands-on property maintenance.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience in budgeting processes and maintaining operational budgets.
  • Experience managing property-related contracts and contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Driver's license and travel, including sites outside the Wagga Wagga area if required.
  • Genuine alignment to BaptistCare's mission and values.
