Job Title: Financial Planning Expert

In this key role, you will play a pivotal part in driving business insight and strategy across the organization.

\

You will report directly to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, who will oversee your efforts to deliver high-quality financial planning, reporting, and analysis to senior stakeholders.

\

The main responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leading the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.\
  • Developing and maintaining the company's consolidated profit & loss, cash flow, and balance sheet models.\
  • Maintaining the company's 10-year strategic planning model and rolling forecasts.\
  • Owning key financial and non-financial metrics, working closely with the Data and Analytics team to ensure data accuracy and integrity.\
  • Coordinating and compiling monthly reports for senior stakeholders.\
  • Providing regular trading insights across sales, margin, and cost drivers, comparing results to prior year and budget/forecast.\
  • Collaborating with Financial Accounting to support month-end close activities.\
  • Supporting the preparation of ASX and investor reporting, including data verification, presentation packs, and Q&A.\
  • Maintaining broker models and consensus forecasts.\
  • Developing feasibility papers for new projects and capital investment proposals.\
  • Own Return on Funds Employed (ROFE) reporting and capital employed forecasting.\
  • Acting as a Finance Business Partner to senior leaders, supporting them with budget inputs, monthly reviews, and ad hoc modeling and analysis.\
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders.\
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financials clearly.\
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.\
  • Proactive problem-solver with a structured, analytical mindset.\
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.\
  • Possession of excellent Excel and data visualization skills, ideally using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.\
  • CA or CPA qualified, with at least 10 years of relevant experience.\
  • Experience in Big 4 or mid-tier advisory/audit and/or commercial finance, ideally in an ASX-listed or large corporate environment.\
  • Retail background preferred, but not essential.\
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.\
  • Availability to travel occasionally for meetings and training.\
