**Specialist Family Violence Practitioner Job Opportunity**We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Mackay-based Family Violence team. This hybrid role provides place-based case management support across both refuge and outreach services, assisting adult and child victim-survivors who are currently experiencing or have previously experienced family violence.About the Role:The Specialist Family Violence Practitioner will provide high-quality, safe, and effective support services that prioritise safety, recovery, and empowerment—guided by a feminist framework. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with clients and facilitate access to appropriate support services and community resources.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide trauma-informed, client-centred case management in line with established standards and models of care.
  • Develop and implement individualised case plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring their active participation and empowerment.
  • Facilitate access to appropriate support services, community resources, and advocate on behalf of clients where needed.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare (Social Sciences), Community Development, or related field is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management within the family violence or related sectors is required.
  • Experience working with women and children affected by family violence is highly desirable.
