We are seeking a passionate Family Support Practitioner to join our team in Mackay, Australia.
Job Description:Our organisation provides intensive family support tailored to the needs of children, young people, and their families. As a Family Support Practitioner, you will implement evidence-based interventions, including parenting strategies and practical life skills coaching, to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Implementing family-centred approaches to provide tailored support
- Sourcing community resources, education, and employment pathways for families
- Conducting home visits and engaging in early intervention strategies
- Collaborating with Child Safety and other stakeholders to deliver wrap-around support
- A valid Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Available to work across a full shift pattern, including mornings, evenings, and sleepovers
- A valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
- A relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.
- Experience working with young people/children and in related fields
- Ongoing training and development opportunities, such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training
- A consistent roster and supportive team culture
- Wellness initiatives and access to the Sonder wellbeing app – 24/7 support
