About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Donor Services Coordinator to join our team at our Melbourne CBD Donor Centre. As a Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our donors through their donation process while working collaboratively to achieve collection targets.

  • Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate.
  • Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
  • Set up machines, various tubing, and collection bags.
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation.

You will have the opportunity to enrol in our paid and flexible self-paced training program, which includes on-the-job practice and online class schedules. We also offer an opportunity to gain a Certificate III in Pathology.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer-facing skills, a genuine passion for delivering an exceptional service to our donors, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. You will also need to be flexible and able to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday.
