Job Description

Role Overview

The Risk Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in enabling the operational delivery of A&G's risk management strategy across Product and Claims & Assessing, ensuring compliance and protection through a robust risk framework.

This key position is responsible for fostering a strong assurance environment within Product and C&A, improving internal risk controls, detection, and response capabilities.

Key success criteria include product knowledge, delivery across claims cost management, customer outcomes, productivity, and a culture of high performance with integrity.

Position Accountabilities

  • Foster a strong assurance environment in Product and C&A.
  • Improve internal risk controls, detection, and response capabilities across Product and C&A.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance Function and change delivery teams to map, test, and improve control environment.
  • Maintain detailed technical and practical knowledge of regulatory and industry compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum 3 years insurance experience (Financial Services/Insurance preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service insight and delivery.
  • Ability to establish measurable audit methods for risk and compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong planning and organisational ability.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed understanding of legislative, regulatory, and compliance obligations.
