Cotton Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cotton Purchasing Officer to join our team in Toowoomba.
This is a permanent full-time position reporting directly to the Trade Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Verify the accuracy of all paperwork received from origination staff.
- Evaluate and ensure special contract conditions, including discounts for later delivery and correct delivery points, are met.
- Accurately validate and enter data.
- Enter Bale Purchase Forms and Amendments for purchase contracts.
- Ensure correct payment terms are included on the contract.
- Provide support to the Accounts team with queries regarding payments.
- Report daily purchases and contract adjustments and circulate.
- Manage the creation and amendments of client accounts in relevant systems in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the Grower Survey process.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation and reporting of contracts.
- Essential skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite, high attention to detail, good organisational skills, ability to communicate well with all staff and clients, and ability to work under pressure.
- Desired but not essential skills: Knowledge of and previous experience in the cotton industry, sound understanding of gin/valley delivery points.
