Job Title: Cotton Trading Specialist

This role provides a platform for an individual to develop skills in the global commodity market while contributing to market analysis, trade execution, and logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Senior Trader with daily market activities, trade execution, and data entry.
  • Monitor and report grower sentiment, pricing trends, and market developments.
  • Assist in understanding container and bulk export pathways, freight rates, and arbitrage opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records, including trade entries and daily P&L tracking.
  • Liaise with supply chain stakeholders to optimise export options.
  • Participate in team and global market meetings.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary degree in Economics, Finance, Science, Agricultural Economics, or related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
  • Independent thinker with collaborative mindset.
  • Interest in agricultural commodities and markets.
