Our organization is seeking a dedicated professional to support Koori families in the early learning and development of their children. This role involves delivering evidence-based parenting programs, support services, and supported playgroups for families.

This identified position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants and offers an opportunity to contribute to the strength and self-determination of the local Aboriginal community.

In this key role, you will:

  1. Apply your skills and knowledge in providing parenting education programs to communities throughout the Ovens Murray region of Victoria, in collaboration with the broader education and care sector.
  2. Gather, analyse, and disseminate information related to current parenting practices and evidence-based programs.
  3. Assist with developing parent education programs for families, including vulnerable and high-needs families.
  4. Work with isolated and rural communities, as well as with community-based organisations and providers of family support.
  5. Deliver quality services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families that meet and exceed their needs and expectations.

To be successful in this role, you must possess relevant experience, or lesser formal qualifications in early childhood, education, health, social work, community services, behavioural or social sciences. Additionally, you must hold a valid Driver's Licence, Victorian Working with Children Check, and Police Check.
