Our Family Support Service offers a range of activities designed to build resilience and relationships among children, young people, and their families. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring that these services are delivered safely and effectively.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also possess a comprehensive understanding of child development, including knowledge of the context and impact of issues arising from children being removed from their family and significant others.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision of family contacts, ensuring a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach to the needs of children, young people, and their families
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people during transport, mentoring, and family preservation activities
- Model positive behavior and provide guidance to children and young people on social and independent living skills
- Work collaboratively with other service providers to achieve better outcomes for children, young people, and their families
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification or experience in a related field (e.g., child and youth work, social work, counseling)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Comprehensive understanding of child development, including knowledge of the context and impact of issues arising from children being removed from their family and significant others
