About the Role

The Government of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Officer to join the Building Commission NSW team. As a key member of the education team, you will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of complex projects and programs, applying sound project management principles to deliver organisational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder and customer relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders to identify new learning opportunities and progress existing ones
  • Engage with senior leaders to assist in the design and review of learning modules
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of learning programs
  • Support the team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
  • Manage project tracking, financials and reporting, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key milestones and outcomes, and within budget
Requirements
  • Ability to undertake research and analysis into trends, policies and practices
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience building networks and collaborating with subject matter experts to develop clear and timely communications
  • Solid understanding of design and content creation of education materials and programs
  • Previous experience in project management, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects to ensure timely and successful delivery
