Job Title: Clinical Nutrition Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient services, including consultation, assessment and education. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that clinical services meet the needs of our program(s).

You will participate in departmental, hospital and educational activities that support professional and corporate objectives. Adhering to professional obligations as required by relevant regulatory bodies is essential. You will also contribute to the training and education of future members of the profession.

In addition, you will be responsible for delivering care that is consistent with the vision and values of our organization and the standards of relevant professional organizations. Compliance with occupational health and safety standards is mandatory, and you will be proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field.
  • Completion of a dietetic internship approved by Dietitians of Canada (DC) or an equivalent program.
  • Membership in the College of Dietitians of Ontario is mandatory.
  • Optionally, membership in the Dietitians of Canada can be beneficial.
  • Experience in clinical nutrition would be an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Commitment to standards of excellence and accountability.
  • Familiarity with French language skills is desirable.
