Specialist Clinics - Administrative Officer

A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas. Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.

About the Role:

These full time or part time roles within the Specialist Clinics department/ward are front-line customer service roles involving a high level of interaction with patients and their families, medical, nursing and allied health staff, with a core focus on telehealth coordination.You will also be responsible for a broad range of administrative duties including demographic checks and compliance of telehealth patients. These roles will hold an appropriate portfolio of administrative work to suppotr the efficent operations of Specialist Clinics.

Classification for this position with range from A021- A025, Grade 2 Level 1 - Grade 2 Level 5 ($66,768.00 - $73,811.00 per annum, plus superannuation plus salary packaging).

  • Knowledge of Specialist Clinics and telehealth
  • Skills in the use of our electronic medical record

Your skills and experience:

  • Previous work in a busy front line customer service-based role.
  • Demonstrated experience in multiple computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages or AUSLAN (Australian sign language)

About Specialist Clinics:

Specialist Clinics operates the outpatient service, for all medical and surgical departments of the hospital. Seeing over 1200 patients per day we are one of the busiest outpatient services in Victoria.
