Job Description:

Boeing is seeking a motivated Subcontract Specialist to join their E7-A Sustainment Team. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to support complex supply chain requirements for the sustainment of the Wedgetail program.

The Opportunity:

As a Subcontracts Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining currency of existing subcontracts, negotiating and implementing complex subcontract variations, managing existing subcontracts, and promoting subcontractor collaboration to ensure on-time performance and compliance.

Key responsibilities include engaging with internal stakeholders, developing practical and efficient solutions to complex procurement and subcontracts issues, identifying and developing appropriate sourcing strategies and approaches to market for goods and services, preparing, negotiating, and executing contract documentation in accordance with delegations of authority, managing subcontractor invoicing compliance and reporting, and participating in risk identification and mitigation planning.

Requirements:
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' work experience in contracts management or procurement;
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, business, or commerce (desirable);
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills;
  • Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed across contracting and procurement and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines; and
  • A willingness to work in a team environment.
