Procurement Business Leader

As a Procurement Business Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. Your expertise in end-to-end procurement activities will drive innovative solutions that meet stakeholder needs and deliver value-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage comprehensive procurement plans, ensuring alignment with service objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  2. Lead strategic tendering processes, requests for quotes, and panel access, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and council policies.
  3. Provide expert guidance, training, and support to internal teams on procurement procedures, risk management, and best practices.
  4. Monitor and update procurement policies and systems to reflect industry standards and regulatory changes.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement supply chain solutions that deliver tangible benefits and enhance service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business, law, commerce, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a senior procurement role within a government environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex tenders and quotation processes from preparation through to administration.
  • Strong understanding of procurement legislation, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in contract administration and supplier performance monitoring, with sound risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and engage effectively with stakeholders.
