Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director - Meetings and Events to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and implementing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with corporate clients and event planners.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities for meetings, conferences, and events, leveraging your knowledge of the industry and your network of contacts.

  1. Sales Strategy

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and grow the hotel's meetings and events business, working closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.

  1. Client Relationships

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other key stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and understanding their needs and requirements.

  1. Event Planning

Oversee the planning and execution of meetings and events, coordinating with internal departments such as catering, audio-visual, and event services to ensure a smooth operation.

  1. Team Collaboration

Work closely with the hotel's event planning and operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of events, providing training and support to junior team members as needed.

Requirements

  1. Education

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  1. Experience

Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a sales or event management role within the hotel industry, with a strong understanding of the meetings and events industry and its trends.

  1. Skills

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
