Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our team as a Rehabilitation Consultant. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in the occupational rehabilitation sector, providing services to clients with various conditions. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will have the autonomy to manage your caseload, working closely with a strong and supportive team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will be utilized to deliver innovative services, including our pain education program, Re-thinking Recovery, which utilizes virtual reality and modern pain science to help individuals understand pain and re-train their brain and body.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients, providing occupational rehabilitation services to support their return to health and work outcomes.
  • Collaborate with employers, employees, medical professionals, and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Conduct various assessments, including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments, to inform rehabilitation plans.
  • Deliver the Re-thinking Recovery program, utilizing virtual reality and modern pain science to educate clients about pain and promote recovery.
  • Work closely with Rehabilitation Assistants to ensure efficient case management and administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology with registration with ESSA and SIRA Accreditation.
  • Previous experience in the occupational rehabilitation industry is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Compassion, empathy, and kindness are essential qualities for this role.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance are required.
