Role Summary
Psychiatrist Opportunities in Remote CommunitiesWe are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide specialist mental health services to remote communities in Far North Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of Indigenous Australians.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist psychiatric services to patients in remote communities, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Develop strong relationships with local healthcare providers and community leaders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive mental health services, including counseling, support groups, and education programs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health strategies and initiatives that address the unique needs of remote communities.
- Completion of a Psychiatry Fellowship or equivalent experience.
- AHPRA registration as a Specialist Psychiatrist.
- Current Medicare provider number and QLD Hospital paperwork.
- Immunisations/vaccinations and ID check.
- CRC & WWCC (if applicable).
