Job Opportunity for Consultant Psychiatrist

Cairns Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide direct delivery of inpatient and outpatient mental health clinical services">
  • Manage patients with complex mental health treatment needs and/or in situations of high clinical risk">
  • Lead and function within a multidisciplinary mental health clinical team and work collaboratively with consultant psychiatrist colleagues">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia">
  • Be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent">
  • Have completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABPN certified), or New Zealand">
