Child Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Child and Youth Psychiatrist to join our team at Cairns Hospital, located in the beautiful city of Cairns, Queensland.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist mental health services to children and young people, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. The role will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.

  • Provide specialist mental health services to children and young people, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and treatment plans
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • Registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent
  • Experience in providing specialist mental health services to children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
