Job Overview: As a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other clinicians and service providers to deliver high-quality mental health services to residents living in Cairns and its surrounding areas.

About The Role
  • Provide Clinical Leadership: You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, driving the delivery of best practice inpatient and community mental health and ATOD assessment and management programs.
  • Drive Best Practice Programs: You will oversee the implementation of best practice programs, ensuring that all services are evidence-based and reflect contemporary best practice.
  • Clinical Governance: You will participate in service strategic and operational planning, ensuring that all clinical governance activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Education and Training: You will deliver education and training to junior medical staff, medical students, and mental health clinicians, enhancing their skills and knowledge in mental health and ATOD assessment and management.
