This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Leading Hand in the Mechanical department.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the execution and supervision of mechanical maintenance for mobile underground and surface equipment. As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for allocating tasks, ensuring timely completion, and promoting a safety culture within the team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy mobile mechanical trade qualifications, experience in underground mechanical maintenance, and knowledge of registered plant inspections. A valid manual driver's license is also required. Previous SAP knowledge is an advantage.

In this role, you will contribute to developing maintenance procedures, drive innovation, and maintain equipment across various departments and sites. If you are a motivated and organized individual with excellent leadership skills, we encourage you to apply for this challenging position.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of daily activities, task allocation, and timely completion
  • Provision of field support, guidance, and leadership on safety and work management
  • Maintenance schedule adherence and proper servicing of equipment
  • Team performance monitoring and training/mentoring support
  • Maintenance of equipment across various departments and sites
  • Development of maintenance procedures and driving innovation
Requirements:
  • Australian Heavy Mobile Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Experience in underground mechanical maintenance and mining technologies
  • Knowledge of registered plant inspections
  • Valid manual Driver's License
  • Desirable: WA Dangerous Goods Security Card, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, High Risk Licenses
  • Previous SAP knowledge is an advantage
