About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team at Penrith City Council. As a key member of our Aquatics and Leisure department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of our aquatic venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of our aquatic venues, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, contractors, and staff at various levels, promoting a culture of excellence and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve venue operations, including event delivery and customer service.
  • Collaborate with peers to deliver operational components of all bookings and events, ensuring seamless execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, reports, and data, providing insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Pool Technical Operations Certificate or near completion.
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, finance management, training coordination, and high levels of personal organisation and composure under pressure.
  • Experience in day-to-day coordination and operations of Aquatics or Leisure Centre or similar with event delivery.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • A valid NSW Working with Children Check.
Desirable
  • Health and Safety Representative Training.
  • White Card holder.
