Civil Operations Team Coordinator

About the Role:
This position plays a crucial role as a Coordinator within the Civil Operations Team at Penrith City Council. The position requires the occupant to plan, coordinate, prioritize, ensure quality control, supervise, and deliver the activities of designated service areas in a safe and efficient manner to meet Council's requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and prioritize the activities of designated service areas.
- Supervise and deliver the activities of field staff and contractors undertaking civil works.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to Council's requirements.
- Develop and maintain the required skills and competencies of the position.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Construction, Frontline Management, Project Management, or a relevant field.
- Extensive experience in the coordination of day-to-day field operations, including the supervision of field staff and contractors undertaking civil works.
- Experience in successfully managing multi-skilled work teams and projects.
- Demonstrated sound written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card.
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles.
- Demonstrated computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- A current Class C driver's license.
