We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our enterprise database environment, ensuring optimal performance and security.
This is a full-time position based in Melbourne or Canberra, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
- About the Role:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability Microsoft SQL Server instances and associated infrastructure.
- Support application teams for database-related incidents and requests.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with Australian standards.
- Work within an ITIL framework for all work-related activities, including change, incident, and problem management.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A high level of proficiency as a DBA managing Enterprise Microsoft SQL Server.
- An in-depth knowledge of the SQL Server Database engine.
- Platform experience covering virtualisation, Windows clustering and associated technologies.
- Experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery scenarios.
- Experience undertaking backup and data recovery processes.
- Experience with scripting via PowerShell to automate everyday tasks.
