Enterprise Database Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will have a high level of proficiency as a DBA managing Enterprise Microsoft SQL Server and experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery scenarios.
- Australian Citizenship is required.
- An active NV-1 Security Clearance is also necessary for this role.
- You will be responsible for enhancing the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server instances and associated infrastructure.
- Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing large enterprise high-availability Microsoft SQL implementations.
- Installing, creating, configuring, upgrading, and monitoring databases to ensure optimum performance.
- Regularly monitoring database performance and optimising queries to ensure efficient query processes.
- Implementing and managing security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with Australian standards.
- Supporting application teams for database-related incidents and requests.
- Working within an ITIL framework for all work-related activities, including change, incident, and problem management.
- Championing change on behalf of the team through proactive identification of improvement opportunities.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex issues on behalf of the team.
The successful candidate will have experience in backup and data recovery processes, scripting via PowerShell to automate everyday tasks, and working in a collaborative environment.
